Jobs 4 Nature

Be part of an exciting new team as part of the Jobs for Nature program, helping to identify, control and monitor pest weeds throughout the Westland/South Westland region.

Based in Hokitika and the majority of the work is in the Westland region with a number of our projects requiring the odd night or two in the field. Some projects may require longer periods away, sometimes up to a week at a time, so you must be comfortable with working away from home.

The work is physically demanding, so having an interest in health and fitness outside of your job would be desirable. If you don’t thrive on keeping fit you may find you’re going to really struggle.

Most of this work will be manual weed control (hand tools, knapsacks etc) and some mechanically assisted (chainsaws, scrubbars, etc)

Email to register your interest.
