Fish factory process worker

Temporary work available in a coated fish processing factory.

Are you motivated, want to achieve goals, deliver quality work, a quick learner, you can adapt to change and be a part of a harmonious working team? This could be for you!

You will:

  • be 100% committed to health and safety,
  • be able to work with continuous processing,
  • be able to do heavy lifting,
  • have good time management skills and hand eye coordination, good knife skills are beneficial.

Roles available include: General Hand; Trimmer; Filleter; Packer; Machine Operator; Experienced Forklift Driver; and Industrial Cleaners.

Pay starts at $21.20 plus shift allowance. Work available until the end of September.

Get your Certificate in Hospitality

Are you aged 16-19? Are you interested in a career in Hospitality?

Study for your NZ Certificate in Hospitality (Level 2) and NCEA Level 2 in their 30 week programme at the Nelson Training Centre. This includes a 2 week term breaks obeserved by mainstream schools. Start when you want, the course is offered on a rolling intake.

You will learn in a very practical and hands on learning environment and work experience within local hospitality businesses for suitable learners.

As a youth guarantee funded programme, this course is free for those aged 16-19.
Students 18yrs + are eligible for Student Allowance.

Inland Revenue offers free Seminars and webinars to help you set up correctly to meet your tax obligations whether you are new to business, GST or employing staff.

Inland Revenue offers three different practical webinars:

  • Starting a business? Introduction to Business is a two hour sessions. Learn about the different ways to structure your business, expenses you can claim, and how income tax and provisional tax works.
  • Are you registered for GST or thinking of registering for GST? Attend the two hour session on GST. Learn about who needs to register for GST, what GST is charged on, what information must be recorded and how to send this to us, and ceasing your GST registration.
