Fisheries Deckhand

Want to work at sea?

You could work on a trawler vessel for a Blenheim based employer.

In this role you will be:

  • Wokring 11 days at sea 
  • Setting and retrieving the trawler net
  • Sorting and unloading catch
  • Loading vessel stores and cleaning duties.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be physically fit
  • Have 6 months experience working in a fishing vessel.

A number of Permanent full-time roles are currently available at the Mussel processing plant in Havelock, with day and night shifts available to suit your lifestyle from Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week.

Defensive Driving Course

Over five sessions, you will learn how to avoid and overcome risky driving situations and reduce the wait-time for getting your licence by 6 months.
