Connected takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of our website:

  • Incorporating accessibility into our web development and design processes: We follow the New Zealand Government Web Accessibility Standard 1.2 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA 1.
  • Providing accessibility resources for our staff: We regularly provide our content creators, designers, and developers with resources and information on accessibility best practices.
  • Conducting regular accessibility audits: We perform periodic accessibility audits to identify and address any issues.

The NZ Government Web Standards, which include the Web Accessibility Standard and the Web Usability Standard, define our requirements for web accessibility.

Content that is not accessible

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of www.connected.govt.nz, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions:

  •  Alt Text: Some images do not have any Alt Text attached to them, as there is currently no capacity to include Alt Text on illustrative images.
