Te Kuiti wahine series

Wāhine of Te Kuiti, are you work ready? Connected along withWork and Income are running workshops to help women increase work readiness.  

The series is designed to inspire and create a connection with women to increase work readiness; awareness of support agencies and courses available; and build self-esteem and confidence in what women have to offer a workplace.

The series will include workshops with guest speakers, journey to employment, re-entering the workforce, life hacks and selfcare as well as much, much more.

If you are looking to return to the work force and want some more support come along, bring a friend and join in this free seminar with a cuppa and like minded women.

When: Tuesdays from 12 July, 10am – 12pm

Support into employment

Are you disabled, have an injury or health condition limiting your ability to work?

Workbridge is free and they offer one-to-one sessions with an Employment Consultant to discuss career options for you. This is a drop in service.

When: Every Wednesday, 10.30am - 12pm

Where: Connected Centre, Five Cross Roads, 3 Fifth Avenue

Phone appointments are available and someone from Work Bridge will make contact to discuss their services and how they can help.

Fencing Labourers

Based in Te Awamutu, multiple full-time permanent Fencing Labourers required to join the team.

As a Fencing Labourer, you will be required to build timber fences and retaining walls. You will also be mixing concrete, carrying posts and other related duties. 

Comfortable to work in all weather conditions and open to learning (especially with Chainsaws, excavators and small machinery.

Applicants must be physically fit and reliable as the schedule can be flexible and sites change with a phone call.

Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week, 7am - 5pm.

PPE gear and uniform will be provided, but you will need to have your own safety boots.

A minimum of a Restricted Driver licence and own transport required as the job sites change depending on the contracts.

Mail Sorters

Leading Courier company in Hamilton is looking for processing officers/sorters to join their busy team.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Sorting our customers mail to meet our service level agreements,
  • Handling parcels in a careful and professional manner.

Applicants must be physically fit and able to lift up to 25kgs.

You will ideally be willing to learn and listen to instructions, be resilient and have good attention to detail.
