Nga Ara Pai Community Driver Mentor Programme wants you to get your restricted licence. 

Through offering driving lessons for young drivers over a ten week period in an automatic car, your mentors will help you be ready to pass your test.

Cost $137 to sit your restricted licence.

Literacy Aotearoa are offering free short courses that are flexible and can be completed whenever you want.

Programmes for 2023

  • Digital Literacy: which can include anything for basic computing, security, emails, internet, devices (iphone, tablet, android) Microsoft applications and social media.
  • Drivers Education: NZ Learners Licence Theory
  • Literacy and Numeracy upskilling: which can cover a wide range of Literacy and Numeracy modules.

Are you interested in Civil Construction?

Learn to operate a digger and gain some great career options in Civil Construction. You will need:

  • Your full licence or be able to sit it within the next few months.
  • To be looking for a career in operating plant machinery/Civil construction.
  • To be able to commit to a 3 week course to upskill with the aim of finding employment at the end of the programme.

Farm based training cadets are involved in the management and development of the training farm.

You will learn about determining and reviewing the stock policy, planning, decision making and attending to the day to day operations of the farm.

Scholarship places are available through the Māori Trade Training Programme.
