Are you interested in farming?

Farm based training cadets will be involved in the management and development of the farm.

You will learn about determining and reviewing the stock policy, planning, decision making and attending to the day to day operations of the farm.

Scholarship places are available through the Māori Trade Training Programme.

Literacy Aotearoa are offering free short courses that are flexible and can be completed whenever you want.

Programmes for 2024

  • Digital Literacy: which can include anything for basic computing, security, emails, internet, devices (iphone, tablet, android) Microsoft applications and social media.
  • Drivers Education: NZ Learners Licence Theory
  • Literacy and Numeracy upskilling: which can cover a wide range of Literacy and Numeracy modules.

Get your restricted driver licence

Do you have your learner's driver licence and limited resources to progress on to your restricted driver licence?

Nga Ara Pai Community Driver Mentor Programme is available to help you get your restricted driver licence. 

You will receive a free road code, L plates, driving assessment with a professional qualified driving instructor and 2-3 driving practices per week with a volunteer montor.

You must be able to commit to 2-3 classroom sessions and be willing to sit your driver licence in an automatic vehicle. 

There is a cost of $167.50 to sit your restricted driver licence.
