Now could be the perfect time to retrain for a new job. The Targeted Training and Apprenticeships Fund (TTAF) will pay the costs of training for jobs in industries where demand for workers is high. This makes it easier for New Zealanders of all ages to retrain in areas with better job opportunities. If you’re an apprentice, the fund will cover your costs regardless of the industry you’re training in.

What it's about
Mana in Mahi is a programme to help you get a long-term job in many industries, while getting an apprenticeship or formal industry qualification.
Who it's for
You need to be a NZ citizen or resident who’s keen to get paid while you train on the job.
What it offers
You can train while you work, learn new skills and gain an industry qualification.
Free support services (such as mentoring and coaching) will be available for up to 24 months while you are working and training in your new career.
You can receive up to $3,000 incentive payments in your first year of work and training, and up to $3,000 in your second year (depending on the length of your training pathway).
