Seasonal horticultural work

Harvest season is heating up and opportunities to pick fruit and vegetables are available all the time.

Here's just a selection of what is available in the Waikato.

A number of seasonal positions are available in a food processing factory within processing, packing and dispatch teams. They also have a number of positions available on the vege and salad harvesting teams.

Chicken Farm Hands

A Huntly based state of the art poultry facility is seeking 10 enthusiastic Chicken Farm Hands to join their busy team.

As an ideal candidate, you will be reliable and physically fit.

Your duties will include raising and caring for poultry in many different ways.

As a successful candidate, you will be provided with all the relevant clothing and footwear.

There are several permenant positions available. These positions include part-time and full-time roles, including night shifts to suit your situation.

Waikato Tainui and Ministry for the Environment Internship

Waikato Tainui together with the Ministry for the Environment (MfE) are offering a partnership internship this summer for a registered Waikato Tainui tribal member.

Based in Wellington. The internship is open to applications from tauira currently in their 2nd or 3rd year of study as well as recent graduates who have a genuine interest in the environment.

There is no specific course of study being looked for, just that you are studing for a university degree and have a passion for our taiao (environment).

Animation accelerator programme

Curious about a career in 3D animation or production or interested in illustration, graphic design and/or animation?

Are you of Māori descent and ready to commit 100% to our 16-week immersive hands-on course.

Workshops will include storytelling, drawing, 3D animation, Unreal Engine, Maya and other digital tools with access to industry master classes and industry partners on the daily.
